- preheat oven to 350°.
- cook noodles to package directions.
- in large bowl mix together ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of the reggiano, the egg, basil, parsley, salt and pepper.
- set aside about 1/4 cup of the reggiano and some slices of mozzarella for the top.
- assemble lasagna in a 9x13 pan.
- spread 3/4 cup of tomato sauce on bottom of pan.
- lay noodles over lapping a little across bottom of pan.
- spread 1/2 of ricotta mixture over noodles and sprinkle with 1/2 of the reggiano.
- lay 1/2 the mozzarella and 1/2 the provolone and top with 1 and 1/4 cup tomato sauce.
- repeat steps 8 thru 10.
- add one more layer of noodles and top with remaining sauce and cheeses that had been set aside.
- cook in oven for 30 to 45 minutes, until top is brown and bubbly.
